EOA 529-532 I have a Dream
Its vary sad to think that 100 years after slavery and the civil war that "African Americans" were still not free. Yes they were allowed to do most of the things they enjoyed but were caught in the middle of segregation. Dr. King was saying that he thought all of the equal rights laws should have been passed at the same time and it was unfortunate everything turned out how it did. It is amazing thinking how far our great Nation has came from slavery to segregation now to having an African American president it is hard to fathom. Dr. Kings I have a dream speech will never be forgotten as all the famous words sound so familiar everything I listen to it. Dr. King makes many references to the Deceleration of Independence in his speech showing the true meaning of being an American. Another important argument Dr. King had was that "all men are created equal" when it obviously didn't seem to be the case. All in all the civil rights movement was one of the most important historic event in our great nation of the United Stated of America.
